Rana KP Singh inaugurates media centre of Rupnagar Press Club
Rupnagar, August 8Rupnagar town will to be developed as tourism hub,said Punjab assembly speaker Rana KP Singh while addressing a function after inaugurating the media centre of the Rupnagar Press Club on Tuesday.

He said that Rupnagar had natural beauty and great tourism potential which would be tapped in an effective manner to attract tourists here.
Rana KP Singh said that there was a plan to build a resort at the place of Pincassia Tourist Complex at Rupnagar ,which was demolished during previous regime.
Rana said that on his request Punjab chief minister Capt.Amarinder Singh had agreed to for setting up an national level project in Rupnagar district.
He lauded the efforts of Rupnagar Press Club in starting media centre and also announced a grant of Rs.5 lakh for the activities of the club. Rana assured that he would provide every help for the development of the Press Club.
He said that media had an important role in the democracy and it should work for the betterment of the society.
While speaking on the occasion Rupnagar Press Club President Bahadurjeet Singh said that the foundation stone of the Press club was laid way back on 2008 by then member of parliament Sukhbir Singh Badal and the club building had been completed now with the financial assistance from various minister and MPs.

He said that the media centre at Press Club had been equipped with computer, scanner. copier and printer for the facility of the media persons .Besides this wi-fi internet facility had also been provided in the press club.
Former Improvement Trust Rupnagar chairman Dr RS Parmar,Rupnagar Press Club senior vice president Satish Jagota, secretary Satish Jagota and patron Gurcharan Singh Bindra also spoke on the occasion.
