Retired Assistant Public Relations Officer(APRO) and journalist Harish Kalra (64)passed away after protracted illness at Rupnagar on Tuesday. He was survived by his wife,son and daughter.
He was cremated at Gaushala Road crematorium ground .His pyre was lit by his son Daman Kalra. Apart from leaders of various sections of the society, lawyers and media community, retired Additional Director of Information and Public Relations Department Opinder Singh Lamba, officials and employees of Public Relations Department and journalists. attended the funeral.
On this occasion, Retired Joint Director Ajit Kanwal Singh Hamdard and Retired APRO Rajinder Saini from Association of Retired Officers of Information and Public Relations Department were also present.
District Public Relations Officers Rashim Verma, Bhupesh Chatha, Ravi Inder Makkar, Karan Mehta, Assistant Public Relations Officer Deepak Kapoor etc. were present. On this occasion, senior journalists Baljit Balli,Gurcharan Singh Bindra, Rupnagar Press Club President Bahadurjeet Singh, Secretary Satnam Singh Satti,Arun Sharma, Ajay Agnihotri, Vijay Sharma, Kulwinderjit Singh Bhatia, Satish Jagota, Prabhat Bhatti, Sham Lal Bains, Kailash Ahuja, Lakhvir Singh Khabra, Sarabjit Singh Kotla Nihang Surjit Singh Gandhi, Manjinder Singh Chakkal,Tejinder Singh,Varun Lamba,,Kulwant Singh, Kamal Bharj,Sarabjit Singh Kaka, Rakesh Kumar were present.

The Rasam Kirya of Sh Harish Kalra will be held at Bhasin Bhawan Rupnagar on May 19 from 1 pm to 2 pm.
